The Governor of Borno state Kashim Shettima has declared that the ruling now All Progressives Congress (APC) would win thirty states in 2019 general elections.
The Governor has stressed that APC needs to put its house in order and gave his word that the committees will not disappoint All Progressives Congress party. Also, he added that the party controls 23 states and they will try their best to reconcile oppressed members of the party.
Kashim Shettima also said that collective interests should be the priority, not the own interests. Their main interest is the win of Muhammadu Buhari in the presidential elections and to have 30 states as well.
Before this, Comrade Oshiomhole, the current national chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) political party, said that national peace and reconciliation committees for each of the six geopolitical zones were created to find an in-house solution to the problems the party is facing now. The politician also added that the main task of the committees is not only to ensure peace but also to maintain harmony in the party. He stressed that APC had already gone through it crucial stage and is ready for the upcoming general elections. Encouraging them to appoint secretariat personnel to reduce the burden of expenses from APC party, Comrade Oshiomhole said to do all possible to ensure peace in the files and ranks of the party.
Kashim Shettima called the book of the former president “fiction” and “elementary”, while Kola Ologbodiyan accused that the current president in his book has failed to propose any solutions or policy directions. Such a position of affairs is typical for any country in the lead-up to the election.
